چکیده

Abstract In this paper, several physical activity-based human–computer interaction (HCI) games which are developed and implemented for the improvement of attention, emotion, sensory–motor coordination will be presented. The interface difficulty levels these specially designed use people with different age groups disabilities. involve activities fulfillment some basic HCI tasks require hand arm motion control, such as fruit picking air hockey, adaptive based on varying parameters human performance. game, images moving from top to bottom screen. Using Heuristics to Evaluate the Overall User Experience of Video Games and Advanced Interaction Games

This book chapter describes an approach of evaluating user experience in video games and advanced interaction games (tabletop games) by using heuristics. We provide a short overview of computer games with a focus on advanced interaction games and explain the concept of user-centred design for games. Furthermore we describe the history of heuristics for video games and the role of user experienc...

Computerized games to study the development of attention in childhood.

Children enjoy playing games. We can take advantage of this in the designs of computerized tasks that will engage their interest. These designs also serve to advance the study of chronometric measures, such as manual and saccadic reaction times and event related potentials, with young children. The goals of our method development are (1) to allow for comparable tasks across a wide variety of ag...

Using locative games to evaluate hybrid technology

In this paper we describe a pervasive location-based game we implement as an evaluation method in our user trials. We test the robustness and usability of a prototype digital-physical map technology called MapLens. We also seek to better understand what the technology might be most useful for. The playful tasks of the game echo real-use tasks, and include elements of social interaction—cooperat...

Real-Time Face Tracking for Attention Aware Adaptive Games

This paper presents a real time face tracking and head pose estimation system which is included in an attention aware game framework. This fast tracking system enables the detection of the player’s attentional state using a simple attention model. This state is then used to adapt the game unfolding in order to enhance user’s experience (in the case of adventure game) and improve the game attent...
